The team secured their second stage victory of the rally, with Kay Huzink, navigator Rob Buursen, and mechanic Gait Schoneveld completing the final stage fastest.
This stage win follows an earlier victory by Gert Huzink, demonstrating the team’s competitive performance throughout the event. Kay Huzink finished seventh overall, marking a successful debut, and dedicated his win to his late father.
Gert Huzink, along with navigator Hugo Kupper and mechanic Mario Kress, completed the final stage with the tenth-fastest time. Gert expressed pride in Kay’s performance, highlighting the team’s strong finish despite earlier challenges.
Following the conclusion of the rally and the podium ceremony, the Kuipers-Jongbloed Hybrid vehicles are scheduled to return to Europe. The team will review their performance and prepare for future competitions, including Dakar 2027. Navigator Rob Buursen will continue his racing schedule with the Africa Eco Race in Tangier, Morocco.
